Chlordehydromethyltestosterone gained popularity above all in the 60s and 70s of the 20th century, when it was widely used by athletes from the GDR at the Olympics. They appreciated above all the possibility to use it until the very last phase of the preparation without the risk of being revealed by the doping controls.
Chlorodehydromethyltestosterone does not provide a fast gain of muscles, strength or weight. Its advantage in comparison with other anabolic-androgenic steroids is the fact, that the results gained thank to its use are longer lasting and of higher quality. What is more, when used, the estrogenic side effects are very restricted – Gynecomastia is almost negligible and water retention in the body is minimal.
Chlorodehydromethyltestosterone side effects
Generally the side effects of Chlorodehydromethyltestosterone are considered very mild, although they depend on the dosage. By the average dose of 40 mg the appearance of Gynecomastia is very unlikely. However, the natural production of testosterone is decreased; it may be as low as 60 – 70 % of the original level. Because of its chemical composition Chlorodehydromethyltestosterone may be toxic to the liver when used for a longer time period. Women normally react to the steroid in a good way, although virilisation can be a problem in case of higher doses.
The dosage is different for all kinds of sport. In case of bodybuilding the average daily dosage for man is in the range between 40 and 50 mg, for man it does not overlap the level of 10 mg a day. Thanks to the low appearance of side effects longer cycles are normally possible.
