Fluoxymesterone is a synthetic derivative of testosterone with three structural differences. Thus it is an anabolic-androgenic steroid, which is not meant for providing gain on muscle mass and body weight, but can lead to incredible gains on strength. For this reason it is a popular supplement in competitions, where there are restrictions like weight categories.
Fluoxymesterone has strong androgenic mechanism of action. Thanks to it, it causes growth of extremely hard muscles, as well. Another reason for its popularity is the fact, that unlike other anabolic-androgenic steroids, it causes almost no excessive water retention and the risk of Gynecomastia is negligible, when lower doses are taken. It is thanks to the fact that fluoxymesterone does not aromatize into estrogen in the body and the above mentioned complications are estrogenic side effects.
As doping, it was often abused by players of American football, who have to go through hard training. Fluoxymesterone increases resistance to high physical performance.
Fluoxymesterone side effects
Nevertheless, fluoxymesterone has very negative side effects. Above all, it is very toxic for the liver. Typical androgenic side effects, like acne, loss of hair or increased aggression occur, as well. Women should avoid using fluoxymesterone, because it causes virilisation in a female body.
A daily dose of fluoxymesterone should not be higher than 20 mg, it should be taken in two parts. Already this amount is very toxic for the liver and using it for longer than four week could be fatal. Fluoxymesterone should certainly not be combined with other steroids and after the end of the cycle; product meant to regenerate the organism should be taken.
